Online Databases

To assist in finding journal and periodical articles - these databases may require BSU login.

How can I obtain the article once I find the citation?

When you search the databases you will see that some citations have a link to the full-text of the article attached to them. For others you may see a link that says "Full Text Finder" or "Find Full Text". Both of these links will assist you in finding the article. Click on the link to see if Maxwell library has the article available in another database.

If you wish to follow up with a citation you see in a "References" list:

  1. Start with the Journals and Newspapers A-Z list
  2. Type in the title of the journal you need to find out which database (if any) has the full-text
  3. Once you find the database, you can then search within the journal to find the specific article you need
  4. If Maxwell Library does not subscribe to the journal you can request a copy of the article through Interlibrary loan

Remember that not all resources are journal articles. You may see a citation for a book, or chapter in a book, or for a website. Use Webster (online catalog) to search for books. You can also use Interlibrary loan to request books that we do not own.
