This guide is an introduction to some of the library resources available for research in U.S. Ethnic Studies. Because this field is cross disciplinary, you may not find what you are looking for here, so please feel free to contact a Referene Librarian if you need assistance. To assist in finding journal and periodical articles - these databases may require BSC login.

  • Anthropological Index Online
    Contains citations to more than 750 international journals in all areas of anthropology and archaeology held by the Anthropology Library at the British Museum (Museum of Mankind).
  • MLA International Bibliography
    References for articles from professional journals in modern languages and literatures. For 299 of these journal titles, full text is available.
  • Academic Onefile
    Academic Onefile contains articles from 8,000 academic journals, the majority in full-text; hundreds of podcasts and transcripts from NPR, CNN, and the CBC; and full-text New York Times content to 1995.
  • Academic Search Premier
    A general-interest academic database which features full text for over 2,300 scholarly (peer-reviewed) journals as well as abstracts and indexing for many additional titles.
  • Religion & Philosophy Collection

    This database provides information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health with searchable full text for nearly 150 journals.
  • Health Source - Nursing/Academic Edition
    Provides full text for over 255 health periodicals, over 1,065 health pamphlets, and 23 health reference books.
  • Films on Demand
    Searchable database of digitized films from a variety of disciplines.
