Books located in the General Collection are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors and can be checked out.
Maxwell Library uses the Library of Congress classification system. The first letter of the call number will help you to determine where to find your book. Those with call numbers that start with the letters A-L are on the second floor; those that start with M-Z are on the third.

Academic Onefile contains articles from 8,000 academic journals, the majority in full-text; hundreds of podcasts and transcripts from NPR, CNN, and the CBC; and full-text New York Times content to 1995.
Diversity Studies Collection
A must-have for social science, history and liberal arts coursework, this collection explores cultural differences, contributions and influences in our global community. This set includes over 250 full-text academic journals and magazines.
Academic Search Premier
A general-interest academic database which features full text for over 2,300 scholarly (peer-reviewed) journals as well as abstracts and indexing for many additional titles.
SocIndex with Full Text
A comprehensive sociology research database with more than 1,660,000 records. It contains full text for 344 "core" coverage journals dating back to 1895, and 129 "priority" coverage journals. This database also includes full text for more than 700 books and monographs, and full text for 6,800 conference papers.
Social Work Abstracts
Includes extensive coverage of more than 450 social work and human services journals. Produced by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the database provides citations and abstracts dealing with all aspects of the social work field. Four simultaneous users maximum.

ScienceDirect College Edition
Provides access to more than a quarter of the world's scientific and medical journal articles online. Topics include physical sciences and engineering, life sciences, health sciences, and social sciences and humanities.
