About Book Locations:
Maxwell Library uses the Library of Congress Classification system for most of its circulating books. Books labeled "General Collection" will be found on the second and third floors of the library. Books labeled Reference are located on the first floor. Children's Books and books in the Educational Resource Center (ERC) are located on the second floor. See the Library floor plans for more information.

ERIC (via EBSCO)
Abstracts to journal articles as well as "grey literature" (pamphlets, conference proceedings, privately published papers) in the field of education. Via E*Subscribe, the full text of selected ERIC documents may be retrieved.
Education Research Complete
This resource covers all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing. Education Research Complete provides indexing and abstracts for more than 1,840 journals, as well as full text for more than 950 journals, and includes full text for more than 81 books and monographs, and for numerous education-related conference papers.
A good database for researching child development. The article description will provide the age group studied.
Academic Search Premier
A general-interest academic database which features full text for over 2,300 scholarly (peer-reviewed) journals as well as abstracts and indexing for many additional titles.
Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts
This abstract indexes more than 600 periodicals, plus books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more.
ScienceDirect College Edition
Provides access to more than a quarter of the world's scientific and medical journal articles online. Topics include physical sciences and engineering, life sciences, health sciences, and social sciences and humanities. All are scholarly resources.
